Is Ivy Park a few years too late into the activewear game?

I’m not convinced just by looking at the sneak peeks of Beyonce’s latest project, Ivy Park – news of an activewear line she’s designing, that coincides with Lululemon’s announcement of their branching out to active leisure line – is going to wow all of us fitness bunnies.

Slapping on the name across the crop tops just echoed Alexander Wang’s line that H&M brought forth last year, plus the mesh detailing on the pants is nothing new – Forever 21 has been doing that in years. So what gives with the new line other than Queen B’s trademark splashed all over this project? Perhaps we’ll find out more when the details come out later.

Comparing Ivy Park and Lululemon’s trendy forecast of us blurring the line of donning fitness wear in our every day lives, I’d say the latter’s offerings are bringing a much more desirable excuse of spending money to look good and feeling comfortable while manoeuvring meetings around town.

So in this week of fitness news, Lululemon wins hands down for a more progressive approach.
